Plans to demolish two modular units at Bishopton Primary School and replace them with a permanent classroom block have been revealed.
Renfrewshire Council has applied for planning permission for the project which, it has said, will be completed in time for the new school year in August 2024.
But concerns have been raised about the timing of the works at the school in Old Greenock Road due to the possibility of primary one spaces filling up at Dargavel Primary School and children being redirected to Bishopton.
David Woodrow, chair of Bishopton Community Council, believes the schedule the local authority is working to could be “tight”.
