A 'suspicious looking' man stopped by plain-clothes cops at Victoria station was arrested after a 'large kitchen knife' was found stuffed down his trousers.
Police say the man was detained following a 'struggle' with officers outside the city centre station on Friday afternoon. He was also found to be in possession of drugs.
Late last night he was said to be still in custody awaiting questioning. "Whilst at Manchester Victoria, plain clothes officers have sighted a male acting suspiciously.
When the male was engaged with, he has resisted officers, resulting in a struggle on the floor. "During the struggle a large kitchen knife was sighted on the male.
