Knox, 33, had been convicted of the murder of Meredith Kercher and spent almost four years in prison before she was exonerated.
While awaiting the results of the US general election, she tweeted: ‘Whatever happens, the next four years can’t be as bad as that four-year study abroad I did in Italy, right?’Her tweet angered many for ‘making light’ of the horrific murder of her friend, including Morgan, who had worked with Kercher’s dad.
