ok.co.ukPiers Morgan has revealed his pal Kate Garraway is "living in hope" for her husband Derek Draper's recovery in hospital. Derek, 52, was placed into intensive care after being diagnosed with the coronavirus at the end of March.
While he has since recovered from the deadly bug, covid-19 had "attacked everything" in Derek's body and has left him with a hole in his heart.
He also needs kidney dialysis and is "very diabetic which he wasn't before". He now remains in a coma in hospital while his wife Kate, 53, and their two children Darcey, 14, and ten year old Billy wait for him to regain consciousness.
