Piers Morgan raises glass to Meghan Markle as he returns to pub they met in after landing TV job

Renowned TV personality Piers Morgan announced on Thursday that he is set to join News Corp and FOX News Media in a global deal, which will see him launch a new daily television series early next year.

Following the announcement, the outspoken star took a trip the Scarsdale Tavern in Kensington where he first met Meghan Markle five years ago and raised a glass to her.

He told The Sun: “And I need to say a special thank you Meghan. As we sit drinking now, it was five years ago I met her here. “And I bet she was sitting there celebrating my departure from Good Morning Britain so this move will be the stuff of nightmares for her.
