Piers Morgan has defended his pal Sharon Osbourne in a ferocious rant aimed at her former The Talk co-star Sheryl Underwood.

The former Good Morning Britain host, 55, stepped down from his role on the show earlier this month over his coverage of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

After his exit, Sharon became embroiled in a fiery on-air row with her co-stars in US panel show The Talk, which led to her being forced to step down from her job.

Piers has now written a column for the Daily Mail in staunch defence of Sharon and accusing her former co-star Sheryl of hypocrisy for branding him a racist on the show.
