Piers Morgan has lashed out at Brexiteers, who he branded "abusive" for trying to "silence" his coronavirus coverage. Ofcom had received more than 3,200 complaints about Piers' two interviews with Care Minister Helen Whately earlier this month, and a further 600 over his interview with Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
However Ofcom has since ruled that he didn't do anything wrong and that he is "well known for his combative style". Reacting to the ruling today on Good Morning Britain.
Piers said that he was very pleased and hailed it as "quite significant". "I've had a few run-ins with Ofcom but I have to say, I was rather pleased with this," he said.
