Pierce Brosnan has revealed two of his best friends have died after battling coronavirus. The former James Bond actor, 67, has been left heartbroken after the killer bug took two of the most important people in his life.

Now, the Irish actor has branded COVID-19 a "war" as it continues to wreck havoc across the globe. Opening up about his sad losses, Pierce told Parade Magazine: "I lost two friends to COVID-19.

They were friends of 45 years, and I am godfather to his son. The Mamma Mia star is in constant worry about when the disease will strike again, and he sees it as a "constant threat".
