Holly Willoughby was absent from This Morning for a second day running today leaving fans wondering why. The 39-year-old host was due to return to the show alongside Phillip Schofield on Monday but when viewers tuned in, they were surprised to see Rochelle Humes step into her shoes.

Phil explained her absence away by saying that Holly was taking some time off to be with her family but when she didn’t return for Tuesday’s show, speculation was ripe that something might be wrong.

In an attempt to lighten the mood Phillip jokingly quipped that Holly had been busy appearing on The Masked Singer instead, saying: ‘Holly’s not here today.
