Philippe Sandler’s Manchester City stay could be coming to a close with Feyenoord locked in negotiations to buy the 24-year-old defender.
The 6ft 2ins Holland under-20 international joined the Blues in 2018 from PEC Zwolle and has made just two senior appearances; as a substitute in the 7-0 FA Cup rout of Rotherham in 2019, and then 17 days later playing 90 minutes as City beat Burton Albion 1-0 away in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.
The Ajax youth product cost City in the region of £1.6million when he signed, and the Blues are expected to recoup a nominal fee from Feyenoord if a potential deal gets completed in time.
Sandler has had terrible luck with injuries during his stay at City. He linked up with Vincent Kompany for Anderlecht in 2019-20 but after making 11 appearances he had a bad knee injury that saw him ruled out for the season and returning to Manchester for treatment.
