The 59-year-old television star, who has presented the show with Holly since 2009, is said to be trying his best to encourage his much-loved co-presenter not to rush into a decision as she considers her future career.
The claims come after it was revealed that Holly was in 'crisis talks' with ITV producers as she prepared to go to court with her former management company, who wanted a stake of her earnings despite no longer representing her.
