When Kenny Pigman teed it up on the 18th hole at Oak Hill Country Club earlier today he expected to be hitting his ball far down the fairway, not dodging an errant shot from a former major champion.Bryson DeChambeau's career has taken a nose dive in recent seasons since winning the US Open in 2020, however it looks to have hit a new low after he hit a fellow pro at the PGA Championship.

The American struck his approach shot into the 17th hole at the Rochester-based club, however the wayward iron was 40 yards wide of the target and hit Pigman as he was preparing to tee off.Thankfully for the PGA professional he was expecting the ball coming his way after DeChambeau shouted 'fore'.

Pigman was able to duck and it just missed him on the head, instead striking him on the upper back while on the tee. DeChambeau is known for hitting the ball huge distances with his unique approach to the game but some times they up up wildly off target.Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond. You can also follow our dedicated Rangers and Celtic podcast pages and sign up to our newsletters to make sure you never miss a beat throughout the season.
