Peter Andre is said to have bagged an exciting new acting gig in an upcoming TV series.The 51 year old pop star turned actor, who was recently spotted in his debut film role, is set to jet off next month to film scenes for a new Channel 5 drama.

A source revealed to The Sun: "Pete will fly out to Cyprus in June to start filming his latest role. It's a gritty Channel 5 thriller and he's really excited to get to work on it.

Pete's been working hard on his acting career and he's got a lot more projects coming up." Earlier this month, fans got a glimpse of Pete's first film role in the movie Bullet, where he plays a character named Flux.

In the teaser, Pete's character is seen confronting a thug in a deserted boxing gym, with both men backed by heavies, hinting at their roles as crime bosses.
