Popstar Peter Andre says she desperately hopes the crime of stalking can be "eliminated" following the news that Strictly's Shirley Ballas was stalked over a period of five years.

Kyle Shaw, 37, pleaded guilty at Liverpool's Crown Court on February 25, admitting the charges that took place between August 31, 2017, and November 9, 2023.

He also admitted possession of a quantity of cannabis. He was given conditional bale ahead of a sentencing hearing which is due to take place on April 1.The court heard how The court heard he made continued unwanted attempts to contact the Strictly star, posted on social media about her, including posting an image of her house on social media, attempted to contact her family, friends and work colleagues, monitored her online and TV presence and made arrangements to attend her book tour.
