Peter Andre has recalled the awkward moment that he asked now wife Emily MacDonagh's dad for his blessing to date her when she was just 22 years old.

Peter, 50, is 16-years older than NHS doctor Emily, and insisted that he asked her dad for his permission to date her because he wanted to do “the right thing”.

Peter has previously revealed that he had met Emily after her dad - urologist Ruaraidh MacDonagh - had performed a risky surgery on his kidney stones.
