Peter Andre (born 27 February 1973) is an English-born Cypriot-Australian singer, songwriter, businessman, and television personality. He gained popularity as a singer, best known for his singles "Mysterious Girl" and "Flava".
He is also known for appearing on the third series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, and the thirteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, in which he was partnered with Janette Manrara.
Peter Andre paid a heartfelt tribute to Olivia Newton John who died aged 73 on August 8 on today's instalment of Lorraine. The fellow Australian star paid tribute to the iconic star during an appearance on the ITV breakfast show.
Speaking to Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh, he recalled the moment he found out about Olivia's passing during his West End performance of Grease The Musical.
Peter made his West End debut earlier this year as he plays Teen Angel / Vince Fontaine throughout the Grease summer run, alongside another Aussie legend, Jason Donovan.
Speaking to Ranvir about last nights performance, the Mysterious Girl singer said: “So first of all, everything that has been said about her is spot on, she was warm, it’s very rare to meet someone in this industry who is exactly what you hoped.”He continued: "The show last night, the cast found out halfway through the show so when Olivia playing Sandy, a girl called Olivia Moore, and when the show finished she had to give an announcement to the audience to say the sad news.
