Peter Andre exercised caution when introducing his romance with now-wife Emily to his children from his marriage to Katie Price.

After Katie and Peter, who are parents to Junior, 17, and 15-year-old Princess, split in 2009, the singer kept a fairly low profile when it came to dating.

He went public with doctor Emily, 33, three years later, but has revealed it took him a while for her to be around his kids. "Everyone handles things differently, but I remember being very conscious about not introducing anyone to the kids until I felt the time was right," the 49-year-old wrote in his OK!

magazine column. "Emily and I were friends for two years before we started dating, so Princess and Junior knew her as a family friend.
