Peter Andre has found himself rushing to his own defence after an 'adios' message confused fans. The singer and TV personality took to social media on Sunday (March 17) to confirm his GB News stint had come to an end.

It was announced last November that Peter, famed for his hit Mysterious Girl before going onto forge a 30-year career in showbiz, would appear on the channel throughout December.

The TV star, 50, was presenting Saturday Morning Live with broadcaster Ellie Costello from 10am to 12 noon after he previously co-hosted three episodes of the show with Ellie back in May when the pair stood in for Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to confirm the news, he wrote: "After my final show on @GBNEWS I want to say thank you to everyone. "The ratings were amazing but more importantly, the people I worked with, including the awesome @elliecostelloTV were the kindest, most supportive people I could ask for.
