A pet cat came home with an angry note tied to his collar threatening to kidnap him because he supposedly "spreads fleas" and eats the complainant's food.

Gandalf, a white Bengal and Russian blue crossbreed, aged 4, had been out and about in Bridgend, Wales, for just an hour when the "extreme" note was stuck to his fur and collar with Sellotape.

Owner Chris is now terrified to let him leave the house and is baffled by the claims in the note, suggesting he is a nuisance and the person will "take him far somewhere", Wales Online reports.

The note was scrawled on three small memo sheets in capital letters, riddled with spelling errors and ironically attached to a collar which warns not to feed him.
