A vile pervert who used artificial intelligence to create pornographic 'deepfake' images of children has been caged.Hugh Nelson, 27, used his computer skills to manipulate innocent photographs of actual children to create graphic scenarios of nudity, rape, and torture.

Police searched his computer and discovered 1,391 unlawful photos, including 56 'category A images', which are the most serious.

According to Bolton Crown Court, he was the "administrator" of an internet chatroom for people with a "sexual interest in young children" from June 2021 to June 2023.

He informed an undercover cop that he "took commission from people" and had developed over 60,000 "characters" using the software, reports the Mirror.Nelson submitted photographs of child sexual activity to the undercover officer and subsequently said that he was working on images of a girl being abused in a nursery.
