‘It’s not easy!’ Dancing On Ice's Brendan Cole addresses claims he has ‘unfair’ advantage
Strictly Come Dancing professional, Brendan Cole, 45, has fought back against claims his dancing ability has given him a head start on Dancing on Ice.This week, Brendan wowed the judges once again with his Movie Week performance to Shallow from A Star Is Born.He and his pro partner Vanessa Bauer finished joint second on the leaderboard with an impressive score of 33.5 out of a possible 40.However, in his VT leading up to the performance, Brendan emotionally defended himself against claims he has an "unfair" advantage over the other celebrities with no dancing experience. The clip opened with a snippet of former Dancing on Ice winner, Sonny Jay, discussing Brendan’s Week One performance with fellow Capital FM host, Roman Kemp.Sonny says: “It was probably the best first dance Dancing on Ice has ever seen.”Martin Kemp’s son then chimes in: “I’m gonna say it, I don’t think it’s fair.”Sonny continued: “He is a dancer, so he is naturally going to look better. But, you’ve still got to learn how to skate.”Many fans have also commented on Brendan’s dancing background.
