"Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage sounded off on Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of "Snow White."  The actor appeared on the most recent episode of Marc Maron’s "WTF" podcast in which the two of them discussed the concept of being politically correct or "woke." That’s when Dinklage commented on what he saw as the strange fact that the casting of Latina actress Rachel Zegler and Israeli actress Gal Gadot in the film was heralded as a boon for diversity. Meanwhile, the "Cyrano" actor, who has dwarfism, noted that they’re starring in a movie based on the 1937 animated movie "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," which makes caricatures out of people like him.

Entertainment Weekly reported.“I’m just like, what are you doing?” the 52-year-old Emmy winner told Maron of the reboot, which will star “West Side Story” actress Rachel Zegler, who recently called herself a “white Latina,” as Snow White.Dinklage, who has achondroplasia, a type of dwarfism that results in him being 4-foot-5, found the movie especially hypocritical as they were “very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White.”“You’re progressive in one way, but then you’re still making that f–king backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f–k are you doing, man?” the “Station Agent” actor spluttered. “Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there.

Zack Sharf Disney’s slate of live-action remakes has included “Cinderella,” “The Jungle Book” and “Beauty and the Beast,” and coming soon is Marb Webb’s live-action reimagining of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Webb, best known for helming “500 Days of Summer” and Andrew Garfield’s “Spider-Man” films, has cast “West Side Story” breakout Rachel Zegler in the title role and Gal Gadot as the villainous Evil Queen. Not everyone is too thrilled with idea of remaking “Snow White,” most notably Peter Dinklage.

There is nothing like a classic Disney movie to take you back to your childhood. Back to the time when you could genuinely believe in pink flying ponies and unicorns. We hoped to someday own a pretty castle and dance around with music always playing in the background. Back then we all hoped to possess ice powers, find a talking pet, or maybe even own a magic paintbrush. The films made us believe in everything that wasn't practically possible and we lived for it all! One such movie is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
