Scots police officer mowed down in terrifying murder bid as manhunt launched for driver
police officer has suffered serious leg injuries after being deliberately mowed down by a car in Ayrshire.The 28-year-old was responding to an incident in Eglinton Place, Kilwinning, at around 1.30am on Tuesday when she was struck by a blue Ford Focus.The female constable, who was with a uniformed colleague at the time, was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital, near Kilmarnock, for treatment to her horrific wounds.A manhunt has been launched to trace the driver of the motor with officers treating the incident as attempted murder.Detective Inspector Stephen McCulloch of Saltcoats CID said: “Our thoughts are with the constable, her family and colleagues and we continue to offer them all the necessary support.The Daily Record and Sunday Mail have
