One Direction didn't make an effort with anyone on final tour, claims Jamie Lawson
One Direction on their farewell tour.The 46-year-old toured with the group on their On the Road Again Tour in 2015, with the group bowing out on October 31, of the same year at Sheffield's Motorpoint Arena.Earlier in the year, Jamie re-released his hit single Wasn't Expecting That which charted at Number 6 on the official charts before his album sailed right to the top of the charts.Despite being in close proximity to the group, Jamie claims the four lads were relatively quiet backstage.Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, he said: "They were very much, the four of them kept to themselves really."Harry was kind enough to drop by a couple of times to say hello, he bought me a bottle of champagne when the album went to Number One which was very kind of him."Generally on the whole, no, I didn't [see them backstage]."Reflecting on the moment he found out he would be going on the tour, Jamie said: "I have no idea how I ended up on that tour but it was a tour I'll always remember, fondly."I went to number one in the duration of that tour which is amazing and I think I did gain a lot of fans, whether it be One Direction fans or parents, a mixture of the two but I still have a few that follow me now."He added: "Harry and Niall were always very kind, they would shout out most nights that I'd been on and I think that made a difference."The fact I had this kind of approval from them – I wasn't sure at first whether it would work or not, but it did seem to.""I'm really glad I did it, it was really interesting considering it was their last," he said.Jamie is gearing up for An Acoustic Round Tour across the UK next month with Gemma Hayes, Richard Walters and Laura Zocca.Discussing the tour, he said: "We're all going to be on stage
