BBC ’s Olympic re-run coverage on Saturday to the fury of athletics fans. The South African, 33, was found guilty in 2015 for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp seven years ago.Pistorius, who had both of his feet amputated when he was 11 months old due to a congenital defect, fatally shot the model in his Pretoria home back in February 2013.Even before Steenkamp’s death, the athlete was very much in the public eye for his top achievements at the Paralympics.He came away with gold medals at Athens 2004, Beijing 2008 and London 2012, but those successes were overshadowed by his horrific crime.
