Emmerdale fans think they have worked out a new sinister twist involving newcomer Marcus Dean as he continues to keep in contact with Rhona Goskirk. Earlier this year, Marcus, who is the son of the rapist and killer Pierce Harris, showed up in the village after learning that his father was dying and has since been sorting out his will following the evil character's death. During Monday's instalment, Marcus delivered the news to Rhona that Pierce had left her a large amount of money in his will as she refused to touch a penny of it.

The 30 year old actor has been cast as Marcus Dean, the son of Rhona Goskirk (played by Zoe Henry) and Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather). The newcomer arrives in the Dales to learn more about his father, who was jailed for raping Rhona after their wedding in 2017 and has now been diagnosed with cancer while in prison.
