But things took a darker turn when he went on to kidnap former enemy Vanessa Woodfield and her young son Johnny. He kept them hostage in an empty house for weeks, while planning to win back ex-wife Rhona Goskirk.
Pierce was charged and sent to prison in 2017 for raping his wife, before being released just months ago. Rhona didn't know this, and Pierce had already killed her partner Graham before he could tell her.
