UK set to be hit with 32C bank holiday scorcher as 'warm spell' sweeps through country
weather as we approach the month of September, with thermometers possibly reaching as high as 32C as the heat shows no signs of abating just yet.The next few days will see temperatures gradually rise, reaching a crescendo by the middle of the week, thanks to a bank of high pressure heading our way, and while it’ll mainly be the southern and midland areas that will see the best of the heat, along with Wales, northern areas are still likely to reach the mid-20s.READ MORE: Woman slips out of handcuffs and shoots cops with their AR-15The Met Office have said: “Temperatures will be gently rising during the coming days, reaching a peak midweek.“Temperatures could locally exceed 30C in one or two spots across the south and east on Wednesday.”Met Office forecaster told the Sun Online: “Temperatures are not going to be as hot as we saw in July or earlier this month, but it looks like we’re going to have a nice, settled warm spell for the end of the summer.”Parts of Scotland could see some rain early in the week, with spells of heavy and blustery showers, but these should soon blow over, with the sun then breaking through and clear skies emerging.To stay up to date with all the latest news, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here. By the end of the week, the best of the sunshine is likely to be in northern and west parts, while cloud could take over in all other parts, with the odd bit of rain falling.The bank holiday weekend should also be very pleasant, with Netweather meteorologist Nick Finnis saying it will be “fine, sunny, mostly dry and warm”, although others have said that there is a possibility of cloud and a few showers, particularly in the east.READ NEXT:

READ NEXT: Love Island's Summer wows as she goes topless for outdoor shower in front of boysNetweather meteorologist Nick Finnis said: “The GFS numerical weather prediction model has been churning out some eyebrow-raising temperature charts over the weekend – one deterministic run on Saturday forecasting record-breaking heat for England on July 16, with temperatures reaching 41C inland across southern England and East Anglia.”Finnis expects temperatures to rise through this week as high pressure builds from the Azores, although north-western parts could experience rain and showers over the next few days.The Weather Outlook forecaster Brian Glaze also revealed the UK could experience some extreme heat.He said: “The mid-30s are expected, but 35C or higher would not be a surprise (this month).
