Irish band B*Witched are jumping back into the music scene after they split in 2002 over issues with their record label. In 1996, Sinéad O'Carroll met Keavy Lynch, the younger sister of Boyzone's Shane Lynch, in a garage, where they decided to form a band.They were soon joined by Lindsay Armaou and Keavy's sister Edele Lynch as they toyed with names like Butterfly Farm, D'sire and Sister before settling on B*Witched and signing to Glowworm Records.The band were a huge success story, with super catchy songs like C'est La Vie, Blame It on the Weatherman, We Four Girls and To You I Belong. Now, Sinead, Keavy, Lindsay and Edele are back with their first single in 10 years, Birthday, on the 25th anniversary of their first smash hit self-titled album.

Edele, 42, who was the lead singer of B*Witched in which she performed with her twin sister Keavy Lynch, Sinéad O'Carroll and Lindsay Armaou - who fans spotted starring in a Netflix series earlier this year.The band split in 2002 and Edele looked very different from her denim-loving pop star persona and she arrived for the premiere of I Used To Be Famous sporting new blonde hair.

B*Witched have announced they will join Blue on the latter’s ‘Heart And Soul’ tour this December – find tickets here.The 90s Irish pop group – comprising Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinead O’Carroll – will join the newly reunited boy band in support of their comeback album of the same name.The 12-date nationwide run (which also celebrates Blue’s 20th anniversary) kicks off on Sunday December 4 at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena. From there, Blue with B*Witched will travel to Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool, Brighton, London, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Aberdeen and Glasgow, before ending in Newcastle at Utilita Arena on Tuesday 20.B*Witched – best known for their 1998 single ‘C’est La Vie’ – said in a statement: “We are so excited to announce that we will be joining Blue on their ‘Heart And Soul’ arena tour in December 2022.“We have been wanting to tour together for some time now after nicknaming ourselves Bluwitched several years ago and are thrilled it is finally happening.”The girl group also alluded to new music, adding: “We will be bringing our hits of course but we have a new single and expect some surprises from us too!”‘One Love’ artists Blue said of the tour: “We are really excited to be teaming up with the girls from B*Witched on our UK tour.

B*Witched will support pop boyband Blue on their huge stadium tour later this year. Blue will be coming to Manchester on December 5 for their Heart & Soul tour and the Irish girl group will be supporting.

Sinéad O’Carroll has opened up to her former B*Witched bandmates about her two heartbreaking miscarriages in an interview with Ali Condon for the Daily Mail.

B*Witched singer Edele Lynch recalled the moment she was threatened by a neighbour with a chainsaw during a horrifying incident.

“On reflection, it is so silly because everybody starts there and doesn’t know what they’re doing anyway, and I highly doubt anyone was looking.“I remember feeling really intimidated by the normal stuff.“Emotionally it was huge for the band to end and not knowing where you were going to go.”B*Witched was formed of twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinead O’Carroll.The band were active between 1997 and 2002, enjoying success in both Europe and North America between 1998 and 2000.In 2012, the band briefly reunited for the ITV2 reality-documentary series The Big Reunion, along with other pop groups of their time, including Liberty X, Five, Honeyz and Atomic Kitten. However, they are focusing on their podcast going forward.
