Camila Banus exited the role in November, a new Gabi may be headed to the soap opera in a recast.Soap Opera Spy reports that some “Days of Our Lives” casting calls hint that Gabi could be recast in the near future. It appears that the show is looking to cast an actress with similar physical attributes to Banus and the character of Gabi.Banus announced her exit from the soap opera earlier this year, leaving fans disappointed. In November, the character of Gabi was written off the show after she was sent to prison for the murder of her former husband Li Shin (Remington Hoffman).
