ITZY is taking a hiatus from the group and her activities.Today (September 18), JYP Entertainment announced that Lia would be taking a step back from all scheduled activities, stemming from concerns over the ITZY member’s health.The K-pop agency said that the singer is currently “experiencing extreme levels of tension and anxiety regarding her schedules”, in a statement, as translated by Koreaboo.“She has received medical consultation and examination, and the medical staff have stated she needs stability and treatment,” JYP Entertainment added. “Lia will not participate in schedules for the time being in order to focus on her treatment.”The label added that the decision for Lia to take a hiatus was made after discussions with the members of ITZY.

K-pop girl group H1-KEY and Young K have collaborated for a special performance of ‘Rose Blossom’.During the September 8 episode of late-night South Korean music talk show The Seasons: Long Day, Long Night with AKMU, rookie girl group H1-KEY made a guest appearance to perform their January single ‘Rose Blossom’ with Day6 member singer Young K, who penned the track.Their performance remained largely true to the original ‘Rose Blossom’, with its instrumental being performed by a live band. However, Young K took over several lines in the song and harmonised with the H1-KEY members during the special performance.“I’m a rose among the concrete / Until this bleak city is fills up with colour / I’ll keep my head up until the very end / Until they get drunk off my scent and smile,” they sing in the chorus.Both Young K and H1-KEY have recently released new music, with the former dropping his first solo studio album ‘Letters With Notes’ and its lead single ‘nothing but’ last week.Meanwhile, the girl group released their second mini-album ‘Seoul Dreaming’ in late-August.

TWICE, has been named Prada newest ambassador.On September 7, the Italian luxury fashion house held its Prada Mode event in Seoul, which was attended by Sana. Notably, in its post, Prada called her one of the brand’s ambassadors.

Tomorrow X Together (TXT), ITZY and more will perform at KPOP LUX x SBS Super Concert London this September.KPOP LUX x SBS Super Concert London will take place on September 22 and 23 at the O2 Arena. It is the event’s second stop of the year, following a July 22 Madrid show that featured SHINee, ENHYPEN, STAYC, IVE and more.The September 22 date of the upcoming K-pop festival will feature performances from two girl groups (ITZY and an as-yet-unannounced second act) and four boybands (THE BOYZ, WEi, ZEROBASEONE and xikers).Meanwhile the September 23 show will also feature performance by ITZY and xikers.

TWICE member Chaeyoung has revealed how she felt when Jeon Somi didn’t make it into the girl group.In 2015, both Chaeyoung and Jeon Somi were contestants on the reality TV show Sixteen, where sixteen JYP Entertainment trainess competed for spots in the then-upcoming girl group TWICE.The two K-pop idols had made it to the final episode of the series, but only Chaeyoung would go on to debut in TWICE. Jeon Somi, who finished the series in tenth place, would later leave JYP Entertainment in 2018, before making her solo debut under YG Entertainment-owned subsidiary The Black Label in 2019.Chaeyoung and Jeon Somi have since address that moment in a new episode of the online game show Yes or Hot, hosted by the latter.

Stray Kids member Bang Chan has revealed that he is no longer allowed to continue his popular livestream series, Chan’s Room.Bang Chan has been known to host weekly livestreams on YouTube, and formerly on VLIVE, where he would chat with fans and talk on various topics. The musician launched the series in early 2019, with the latest episode being held on May 14 this year.Notably, the May 14 episode of Chan’s Room drew controversy over remarks Bang Chan had made about generational differences in greeting etiquette, following his experience at the Music Bank in Paris event in April.Bang Chan later apologised for this comments in a post on the official Stray Kids Instagram.

Jihyo has opened up about the criticism she received when she first debuted in TWICE.On August 22, the K-pop singer appeared as a guest on music talk show Leemujin Service to promote her debut solo record ‘ZONE’. During the episode, Jihyo shared that she had struggled with her vocals early in her career.Jihyo opened the episode with a performance of her new single ‘Killin’ Me Good’, followed by a cover of John Park’s ‘Thought Of You’.

Stray Kids is Louis Vuitton’s newest house ambassador.The French luxury fashion house announced the Stray Kids’ member as the brand’s new house ambassador today (August 22) on its official Twitter account.“I am thrilled that Felix is joining Louis Vuitton – I love his audacious sense of style,” said Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton. Day6 bassist and vocalist Young K has shared snippets of songs from his upcoming debut studio album.On August 17, the musician shared a series of “lyric spoiler clips” via JYP Entertainment’s YouTube channel. The three songs, ‘waited’, ‘nothing but’ and ‘let it be summer’, are from Young K’s upcoming debut studio album ‘Letters With Notes’, which will be released on September 4 at 6pm KST.The second track ‘nothing but’ will serve as the record’s title track.

K-pop boyband Stray Kids has released a new solo track titled ‘Hold On’.On August 13, the K-pop singer unveiled his new original solo song ‘Hold On’ on the boyband’s official YouTube channel. The track was written and composed by Stray Kids bandmates Han and Bang Chan.“Though I cannot see you at the moment / Someday, after quite some time has passed / When I stand before you, please / Come running to me once again,” he sings on the chorus.Seungmin’s new track is the latest in Stray Kids’ ‘SKZ-RECORD’ YouTube series, through which members of the group drop song covers and unofficial tracks.

Music Bank has announced the line-up of it’s upcoming concert in Mexico, featuring NewJeans, (G)I-DLE and more.Today (July 27), television broadcaster KBS released a new teaser for its upcoming ‘Music Bank in Mexico’ concert, which is set to be held at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, Mexico on October 22.Fronting the line-up of ‘Music Bank in Mexico’ are four popular girl groups: NewJeans, (G)I-DLE, STAYC and ITZY. Joining them will be two boybands, The New Six and AB6IX.

Troye Sivan has shared that he received “death threats” after posting a TikTok about Stray Kids member Hyunjin.Last month, Troye Sivan uploaded a TikTok compilation of Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, writing in the caption: “Anyone know how to reach this man :///“. The Australian singer and the K-pop idol had previously met at Dua Lipa and Versace’s ‘La Vacanza’ fashion show in Cannes this May.Later, Sivan posted another TikTok saying that it would be the last time he would “publicly crush” on a K-pop star, adding jokingly that he “almost got murdered”.

Hyunjin, a member of the K-pop boyband Stray Kids, has been named Versace’s newest global brand ambassador.Hyunjin’s new appointment as the Italian luxury fashion house’s new global ambassador was first announced today (July 20) by Women’s Wear Daily. According to the news outlet, the K-pop idol is set to front the brand’s upcoming Versace Holiday 2023 campaign, which will be launched this November.“I’m so excited to be starting my Versace journey as a global ambassador and to make beautiful moments together,” said Hyunjin, per WWD.

MISAMO – a sub-unit of the K-pop girl group TWICE, featuring the members Sana, Momo and Mina – have dropped a music video for their new song ‘Do Not Touch’.The clip for ‘Do Not Touch’ opens with the three Japanese singers as statues in a luxurious castle compound. K-pop girl group NMIXX have made a comeback with their third single album ‘A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream’.On July 11 at 6pm KST, the JYP Entertainment girl group released their new single album ‘A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream’ alongside a visual for its title track ‘Party O’ Clock’.In the new music video, the girl group frolic in a lush forest in celebration of summer, dancing to the song’s choreography. Girls’ Generation‘s member YoonA has opened up about the long production process of her new K-drama series, King The Land.YoonA recently spoke to Allure Korea about King The Land, which is currently airing on South Korean network JTBC and available internationally on Netflix.During the interview, the actress revealed that filming for the series took 10 months to complete, the longest of any K-drama she has done before. “I think I’ve also forgotten what my everyday life without ‘King the Land’ is like,” she added, per Soompi.King The Land co-star Junho, of K-pop boyband 2PM, said that it was the first time he starred in a K-drama that was completely filmed in advance of its premiere.

K-pop boyband Stray Kids have released the music video for ‘Topline’, from their latest album ‘5-Star’.In the new music video, Stray Kids and featured artist Tiger JK perform the high-octane song in a warehouse atop shopping containers, as money falls from the sky.“On the top line, we swing to the beat show / Ha, hotline, hot, hot, we about to blow, top line / We can see the world under our feet, we’re the top line / Your neck must be stiff from only looking up,” they rap.‘5-Star’ includes a total of 12 songs, including the single ’S-Class’.
