Human remains found in River Severn which had been in water for ‘significant time’
Police were alerted shortly before 9.15pm on Saturday (May 21) after a member of the public spotted what they believed to be human remains in the water.Officers from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene at Cressage, between Shrewsbury and Much Wenlock.The remains were removed from the water and later confirmed to be human. It is believed the remains had been in the water for a significant amount of time, as reported by the Shropshire Star.
