Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jennie Nguyen has been fired from the show after her past social media posts returned and caused widespread outrage.The 44-year-old joined the show, which airs on streaming service Hayu in the UK, for its second season but will no longer be involved.A statement from Bravo released on Tuesday read: "Bravo has ceased filming with Jennie Nguyen and she will no longer be a cast member of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City."We recognise we failed to take appropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention."Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions."Jennie caused controversy earlier this month when old Facebook posts from 2020 emerged, which included memes mocking the Black Lives Matter protests and phrases such as "BLM Thugs" and "Violent Gangs".One post she shared labelled people "idiots" for "thinking police officers are the problem" as it spoke of "anarchists" rioting across the US.Other posts mocked the Covid vaccine and included conspiracies that Joe Biden stole the Presidential Election.Jennie posted a statement after the widespread backlash which read: "I want to acknowledge and apologise for my deleted Facebook posts from 2020 that resurfaced today. At the time, I thought I was speaking out against violence, but I have since learned how offensive and hurtful my words were.

Andy Cohen called the reality TV star's comments "upsetting … and disgusting." On his SiriusXM show, "Radio Andy," he also hinted that a shakeup was coming. "There are many serious discussions happening right now about everything — about everything," he said on Jan. 24.
