Love Island bosses have announced that all contestants will wear second-hand clothes for the eighth series of the ITV dating show, from the popular online marketplace eBay.The beloved dating show has collaborated the pre-loved fashion giants for the latest instalment of the hottest dating show on the airwaves.TV bosses confirmed the news on Thursday (May 19), as they make history as the first show to promote a greener wardrobe and style the newest bunch of sexy singletons in only pre-loved garments.Islanders will be forced to fight against each other to steal the hottest garments in the new and improved shared wardrobe situated in the heart of the Spanish villa.The contestants will be living the ‘eat, sleep, rewear, repeat’ mentality in an effort to curb the fast fashion in preference of a more sustainable clothing industry.Their collaboration comes after new research from eBay revealed that UK shoppers are becoming increasingly conscious of the impact fast fashion has on the planet.New studies how a fifth of Brits admitted that they buy more second-hand clothing compared to their spending habits two years ago and reveal that on average, 16% of their wardrobes are made up of pre-loved clothing.Last year, fans hoping to replicate Millie Court’s winning outfit led to outrage online as viewers fought to purchase the must-have one-shoulder marble dress and hot pink co-ord also becoming another popular item online.This year, eBay UK has hired celebrity stylist and second-hand enthusiast Amy Bannerman – who has styled star such as Dua Lipa and Rita Ora – to style this year’s Islanders.Head of Fashion at eBay UK, Jemma Tadd said: “We’re so excited to partner with Love Island this year and put pre-loved fashion, centre
