EastEnders fans will recognise the new Amy Mitchell star from Silent Witness
EastEnders' Amy Mitchell, played by Ellie Dadd, collapses after taking drugs this week on Albert Square - but fans of the soap will recognise the young actress from another TV series.The daughter of Roxy Mitchell and Jack Branning has been played by four different actresses since being born into the soap in 2008.Abbie Burke had played Amy for eight years and was last seen on-screen in June, but earlier this month Ellie Dadd took on the role.READ NEXT: EastEnders' Melissa Suffield 'never watched soap' and doesn't talk to co-starsEllie might seem familiar to TV buffs though, as she played the role of Cat Shaw in Seven Times: Part One and Part Two which aired in January 2020.The episodes were about a post-mortem on a victim of domestic violence, which brought back troubling memories for recurring character Nikki.As well as popping up in Silent Witness, Ellie also appeared in the stage production of Matilda in 2015/2016.Ellie now plays the role of Amy, meaning she's on our screens much more frequently - and even more so at the moment while she's involved in a storyline about drugs.In EastEnders this week, drugs are given Jada (Kelsey Calladine-Smith) by Stuart (Ricky Champ).Falling out of Jada's purse, Denise takes them away from the mum-of-one and Amy quickly takes them.Trying to impress Howie's son Denzel (Jaden Ladega), Amy wants to prove to him how daring and rebellious she can be.Taking the drugs in a bid to show off, Amy ends up having a bad reaction and then collapses in the street.Amy's dad Jack (Scott Maslan) and her step mum Denise (Diane Parish) aren’t far away, and when they find her they quickly call an ambulance while in a state of shock.But what will happen to Amy?
