Jack Garratt is back with his first new music since 2020 album ‘Love, Death & Dancing’. Having tapped into some electronic influences on that earlier record, he’s now leaning fully into dance music on new single ‘Just How I Like It’, aided by a new record deal with Skint.“‘Just How I Like It’ is a song about release and reclamation”, says Garratt. “I wrote it in the summer of 2021, when I wasn’t sure what to do with all the music I’d written over lockdown, as it was all pretty depressing.

Bob Geldof, Chrissie Hynde and more have joined the line-up for the ‘Night For Ukraine’ fundraising concert which is due to take place tomorrow (March 9).The event, which will be held at London’s Roundhouse, will see a number of artists performing to help raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC). All money raised will be donated to the DEC to support humanitarian and emergency response work in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.Geldof and Hynde will be joined by the Ukrainian-born Bloom Twins, Ukrainian baritone and Royal Opera House Principal Artist Yuriy Yurchuk and Imelda May.The evening will also feature resident choreographer of The Royal Ballet Wayne McGregor CBE and a host of UK artists, including Jack Garratt, Eckoes and Peter Xan, as well as a special performance by London Community Gospel Choir.Other performers on the bill include Tom Baxter, Joseph Toonga, Nadeem Din Gabisi, Joseph Lawrence and Archive, with more acts set to appear on the night.Tickets for the event are available here.❗️ On Wed 9 Mar 2022, we will be hosting a Night for Ukraine

Jack Garratt has criticised Boris Johnson and the UK government on a brand new charity single – hear ‘Eton Mess (A Gaslight Anthem)’ below.Described as “a song out of pure disappointment and frustration,” the new track is Garratt’s first since 2020 album ‘Love, Death & Dancing’, released via Island, and also his first track as a fully independent artist.The new song is available via Bandcamp, with a percentage of proceeds going to the Trussell Trust. Richard Ashcroft, former frontman of The Verve and vocal anti-vaxxer, has seemingly contracted COVID-19, and as such won’t be performing at an upcoming festival.In a tweet, Ashcroft wrote “We are sorry to announce that due to COVID-19, headline act Richard Ashcroft will be unable to perform at Tunes in the Dunes on Saturday this year sept 4th.”Tunes In The Dunes is taking in Cornwall this weekend, with acts like Craig David, Jack Garratt and Ashcroft’s replacement, Fatboy Slim, headlining.While that tweet implies cancellation due to restrictions and fears around the virus itself, Twitter user @J_Colzz notes that Ashcroft had deleted an earlier version of the same tweet, that says “due to contracting COVID-19”.View both tweets below.Oops

Jack Garratt has become an ambassador for the live music charity Stagehand and is set to raise awareness for the organisation in the coming months.The charity was founded in 1998 by the Production Services Association and provides financial support to members of the PSA, which encompasses all aspects of live music production.Garratt will help Stagehand with various projects in the foreseeable future. Yesterday (February 15), he began an Instagram Live conversation series that will raise awareness for the charity.

Jack Garratt had fans spinning in "Circles" when he transformed into a one-man band for his Billboard Live At-Home performance Tuesday (July 21) that raised money for The Trevor Project, a national organization providing suicide prevention services for LGBTQ+ youth.
