Greta Van Fleet vocalist Josh Kiszka ruptured an eardrum during a recent show in Maine, forcing the band to postpone a number of upcoming shows while he recovers.Kiszka made the announcement on social media today (October 18), informing ticketholders for the band’s forthcoming shows – in Raleigh North Carolina (tonight), Greenville, South Carolina (on Wednesday October 19), and Jacksonville, Florida (on Friday October 21) – that they would be rescheduled to later dates.Kiszka went on to elaborate on his ear injury, writing that he “ruptured an eardrum” during the band’s most recent show, which took place in the city of Bangor on Saturday October 8. The singer wrote that “upon further evaluation I have just been advised it needs more time to fully heal than initially anticipated.”A post shared by Greta Van Fleet (@gretavanfleet)Kiszka continued: “I’m working closely with my team to ensure I get proper rest in order to finish out the year strong.” Later in the post, he assured fans that new dates for the performances will be announced “as soon as possible”, before explaining that tickets for those three shows will remain valid for the rescheduled dates.

Greta Van Fleet’s Josh Kiszka has apologised for wearing Indigenous costumes on stage and appropriating the culture.The Michigan-based rock band’s lead singer has been criticised recently for sporting Indigenous costumes on stage across the last half-decade, and has addressed the concerns in a new Instagram post.“To our Indigenous fans, I see you,” Kiszka’s message began. “I’ve taken time to listen and gather my thoughts. My appreciation for Indigenous culture is bigger than myself.

Greta Van Fleet have postponed a series of upcoming US shows after guitarist Jake Kiszka was hospitalised with pneumonia.The Michigan rockers are currently on tour in the States behind 2021 album ‘The Battle at Garden’s Gate’, kicking off the ‘Dreams In Gold’ tour on March 10 in Michigan.Earlier this week, the band postponed gigs in Flint and Ypsilanti on March 16 and 17 respectively, revealing that brothers Josh and Jake Kiszka woke up unwell.The band have now confirmed in a follow-up post that Jake had been hospitalised with pneumonia, meaning tonight’s (March 19) show in Huntington, West Virginia is also postponed.They wrote on Instagram: “While Josh has mostly recovered, Jake’s diagnosis is more complex. What started as a small cough on Tuesday rapidly progressed overnight requiring his admission to the hospital yesterday.

Metallica have played their first show of the year, kicking off 2022 with a performance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.The show took place on Friday night (February 25), opened by support acts Ice Nine Kills and Greta Van Fleet.
