Evan Dando has revealed that he is now sober aside from LSD, while confirming the release date for his upcoming memoir and teasing new music from The Lemonheads.The soloist and Lemonheads frontman is due to publish his delayed book Rumours Of My Demise on May 1, having first announced the project in 2020. Find the full list below.The seven-episode show has been written and directed by Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity, Roma, Children Of Men), and stars Cate Blanchett as a famous documentary journalist who finds out she is a prominent character in a novel that reveals a secret from her life that she has spent her life trying to hide.The star-studded cast also includes Kevin Kline, a teacher with a grudge against Blanchett’s character, Sacha Baron Cohen as her husband, as well as Lesley Manville and Kodi Smit-McPhee.The first two episodes premiered on the streaming service on October 11, with three and four following a week later. Noel Gallagher has opened up about his unreleased collaboration with The Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando, which led to a feud between the two.The former Oasis songwriter and High Flying Birds bandleader worked on a song with Dando around three decades ago, however the two reached an impasse over the track, leading to the song remaining unreleased and a feud bubbling.Now, in a new interview, Gallagher has reflected on the incident and explained what happened to make the relationship between himself and Dando so “awkward”.According to Gallagher, the song was called ‘Purple Parallelogram’ and was written with The Lemonheads singer during the peak of Oasis’ fame in the ’90s. Speaking on Matt Morgan’s Patreon podcast, he also said that the conflict emerged when Dando recorded the two messing about on their guitars and declared he was going to release it as a new song.“We were in this festival circuit in 1994 and on every festival that year was Oasis and The Lemonheads,” the singer, songwriter and guitarist began.

QTY, has died.News of the musician’s death was shared on The Lemonheads‘ Facebook page this week with the caption: “Life is short and unforgiving.“RIP Dan Lardner, we will forever love you.”The news was accompanied by a photo of Lardner hugging The Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando.The QTY musician was Dando’s guest of honour when the latter opened for Psychedelic Furs on their recent US tour.No further details about the cause of death have been shared.Lardner performed guitar and vocals in indie rock band QTY, alongside Alex Niemetz (guitar/vocals), Peter Baumann (bass), and Alan Yuch (drums).The New York group started in 2014 and signed to Dirty Hit Records, releasing their self-titled debut album in 2017, produced by former Suede member Bernard Butler.In 2017, NME described QTY as “New York’s most exciting new band”, before they were featured on the NME 100 list in 2018, describing their sound as “guitar-pop at its most catchy” that “follows in the long line of bands from New York who sound oh so very much like they’re from New York”.“There was a point in the studio where Alex and I wanted to play around a bit and Bernard told us we knew what we wanted to do with the songs – which we did, we knew what we wanted to do with them before we got into the studio – so we didn’t need to [do that],” Dan told NME back in 2017.

The Lemonheads have announced plans for a 30th anniversary tour of their 1992 album ‘It’s A Shame About Ray’.Evan Dando’s band will hit the road for a series of UK and Ireland dates kicking off in Dublin on September 22.The tour, which will see the band perform the record in its entirety, will also include stops in Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and a stop at the London Roundhouse on September 30. The Lemonheads recently lost his wallet and after it was handed in at a local supermarket he returned to give a free in-store performance.Last month, the singer-songwriter took to Twitter to ask for help in finding his wallet which he misplaced somewhere in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.“I dropped my wallet with my drivers license and two debit cards in it,” he wrote.
