The Last Of Us and Castlevania, Netflix’s Arcane is leading the charge when it comes to the best video game adaptations.Based in the League Of Legends universe by Riot Games, the animated series follows sisters Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell) as they find themselves in a developing conflict between the utopian city of Piltover and oppressed underbelly of Zaun.A synopsis for season two reads: “In this final chapter, Jinx’s attack on the Council sets the stage for a dire escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.”The show’s voice cast includes Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, Kevin Alejandro, Katie Leung, Toks Olagundoye, Harry Lloyd, Amirah Vann, Ellen Thomas, and Brett Tucker.Arcane debuted on Netflix in 2021, with its second season arriving in November 2024.Netflix is splitting the show’s second season into three acts with three episodes each. UPDATE, Sept. 5: Netflix and Riot has dropped the first full-length trailer for the second and final season of Arcane, and in addition to being the most extensive look at what fans can expect when the series returns this November, the trailer introduces the first song from the new season’s soundtrack.

The Crown actress takes on the role of widowed cleaning woman Ada, a hard-working housekeeper who decides she wants to spend her life savings on a Dior dress, after seeing one being worn by a wealthy client. She scrimps and saves (and gambles at the dog track) to raise enough money and finally arrives at Dior’s Avenue Montaigne headquarters, where she charms everyone. The fairy tale is complete when she moves to Paris and starts making some changes — for the better — at the fashion house.
