CORONATION Street fans were left baffled last night when a familiar face returned to the cobbles after 15 years away. As revealed last week, Audrey Robert's son Stephen Reid is back on the soap for the first time since 2007.

Next week sees the return of Audrey Roberts' son Stephen Reid to Coronation Street after 15 years as fears about her drinking reach crisis point. Rita Tanner finds Audrey in the Rovers, enjoying her first drink of the day and she suggests it’s time Audrey went back to work.

Coronation Street's Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) makes a shock decision about his illness next week.He has been having issues in the bedroom with wife Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) in recent scenes.He agrees to seek medical help and Sally offers to accompany him to the doctor’s, but Tim insists he wants to go on his own.Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) finds Tim loitering outside the medical centre and Tim makes excuses and does a runner.He later lies to wife Sally, making out that the doctor said his condition is nothing to worry about and perfectly normal after a major operation.After pledging to not keep secrets from Sally ever again, Tim is once again playing a dangerous game that’s bound to lead to trouble when she finds out. But could the consequences of ignoring his health issues again turn out to be more serious?Following his heart bypass, Tim and Sally have been desperate to do the deed but things haven’t gone to plan.Tim has been suffering from impotence but was using his mum Elaine Jones' (Paula Wilcox) interfering ways to distract himself from the real problem.Things turned awkward between the pair as Sally tried to broach the subject of their disastrous love making.However, an embarrassed Tim refuses to discuss it, leaving Sally annoyed.As he later apologised to Sally and presented her with some flowers, and they enjoyed a lovely meal together.But when Sally suggested an early night, Tim admitted he’s worried about his impotence, so Sally assured him she’s happy to settle for a hug.Elsehwere in Weatherfield, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) reveals to Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) that she’s joined a diabetic support group.

Coronation Street youngster Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) finds herself in danger next week.When Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) tackles her in Victoria Gardens, a pale Summer loses her temper and tells Amy to back off.Meanwhile, Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) has taken advantage of Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) over-ordering alcopops and, having bought them, is selling them in Victoria Gardens for a profit to pay the rent.Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) reports Jacob to the police and as they arrive at Victoria Gardens, Jacob does a runner leaving the final two boxes of alcopops on the bench.The police officers find Summer slumped on the bench next to the boxes of alcopops and assuming her to be drunk and take her down to the station.Amy and Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) call at the police station and tell Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) about Summer's arrest and how they suspect she might be suffering from her diabetes.Craig hurries to the cells where he finds Summer in a diabetic coma. Fearing the worst, Craig shouts for someone to call an ambulance.Elsewhere, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) returns from Gina’s to find Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) ensconced in front of the TV.Realising that Elaine has got her feet well and truly under the table, Sally’s miffed.When Sally asserts that it’s time Elaine moved out so they can spend some time in the bedroom, Tim hides his anxiety.Sally finally bites the bullet and suggests to Elaine it is time she moved out.As they see her off Tim is sad to see her go whilst Sally can’t wait to take advantage of the empty house.
