Drake gives up on Kendrick Lamar feud after savage Super Bowl performance: ‘F–k a rap beef’
Super Bowl halftime show, the “God’s Plan” rapper seemingly waved the white flag on their battle in his new song, “Gimme a Hug.”“F–k a rap beef, I’m tryna get the party lit/Tryna get the party lit for the bitches,” he raps on the track from “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U,” his album with Partynextdoor that dropped on Friday. After nearly a year of going toe-to-toe with Lamar, Drake wants to be a lover, not a fighter.Having come out on the losing end of the battle, Drake acknowledges that some have relished in leaving him for dead — but that he is still very much alive and kicking.“Drake elimination, fake intimidation/Take a minute, take a deep breath, have a little bit of patience/Drizzy, you amazin’, you the inspiration/You set the bar for the next generation/,” he raps to open “Gimme a Hug.”“You Neo in The Matrix, these other n—-s just Nemo in the ocean/Small fish, making kids feel emotion/Using you for promotion,” he raps, possibly alluding to Lamar using Drake for gain.Later, he continues to address the talk of his demise: “N—-s want to see RIP me on a T-shirt like I’m Hulk Hogan/I appreciate the fans rocking with me, this is just a small token.”Drake makes it clear that he is far from done despite all the shots taken at him: “‘Cause I’m really out here, filling up the itinerary ’til I’m six feet in the cemetery/Bulletproof doors so heavy, got me rollin’ ‘round like a dignitary.“Funny how it’s only bitch n—-s that are waiting on the boy’s obituary/‘Cause if I die, it’s these n—-s that become the sole beneficiary/And what the f–k are they gon’ do with it?”He then gives love to 21 Savage for supporting him through the onslaught of Drake hate: “Savage, you the only n—a checkin’ on me when we really in some s–t, brother.”Last

Drake sues for defamation over Kendrick Lamar song ‘Not Like Us’ for “false allegation of being criminal paedophile”
Drake is suing Universal Music Group (UMG) for releasing Kendrick Lamar‘s diss track ‘Not Like Us‘ last year – where Drake and his peers were described as “certified paedophiles” who should “be registered and placed on neighbourhood watch”.The lawsuit, filed in a New York federal court today (January 15), called the release and promotion of the track, where Lamar alleged Drake “likes ‘em young”, an example of valuing “corporate greed over the safety and wellbeing of its artists”.As The Guardian reports, the lawsuit alleges that UMG “approved, published and launched a campaign to create a viral hit out of a rap track” that was “intended to convey the specific, unmistakable, and false factual allegation that Drake is a criminal pedophile, and to suggest that the public should resort to vigilante justice in response”.The suit also draws attention to the artwork for ‘Not Like Us’, which features a picture of Drake’s Toronto house with markers used to identify the homes of registered sex offenders. It then mentions a shooting which occurred outside the rapper’s house two days after the track was released, calling it “the 2024 equivalent of ‘Pizzagate'”.Lawyer Michael J Gottlieb is representing Drake in this case.

Drake sues his own record label for defamation over Kendrick Lamar diss track calling him ‘a pedophile’
feud with Kendrick Lamar to federal court. The “One Dance” rapper, 38, filed a defamation lawsuit in Manhattan on Wednesday against Universal Music Group — which reps both stars — for releasing Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.”In the court documents obtained by The Post, Drake accused the record label of spreading the “false and malicious narrative” that he’s “a pedophile.”The lawsuit states that on May 4, 2024, the day “Not Like Us” came out, “UMG approved, published, and launched a campaign to create a viral hit out of a rap track that falsely accuses Drake of being a pedophile and calls for violent retribution against him.”“Even though UMG enriched itself and its shareholders by exploiting Drake’s music for years, and knew that the salacious allegations against Drake were false, UMG chose corporate greed over the safety and well-being of its artists,” the suit added.Drake is signed to UMG subsidiary Republic Records, while Lamar, 37, is signed to UMG’s Interscope Records. In the court docs, Drake claimed that Lamar’s diss track — which is nominated for five Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year — conveyed the “false factual allegation that Drake is a criminal pedophile.”Lamar isn’t named in the lawsuit.
