Gogglebox legends Dave and Shirley Griffiths revealed they sometimes “get a little bit drunk” to help battle the nerves while filming the show.The South Wales couple – who have been happily married for more than 46 years – are fan favourites of the popular Channel 4 commentary show.Avid fans of the show will know they loveable couple always appear to be having fun while they share their thoughts on the latest shows on telly.But in a recent interview with New! Magazine, the pair have confessed that there’s a reason behind their jolly mood as they shared their TV secret with the publication.They revealed how one of the ways they continue to keep their spirits high during the long hours filming is by breaking into the liquor cabinet.Shirly admitted: “Sometimes me and Dave have a little bit too much … we get a little bit drunk” before she explained that taking part on the show is a “lovely experience” for both of them.But that’s not the only thing they indulge on during the shoots as Dave chimed in with: “We get some snacks in as we’ve got a pretty long watch.
