Check out our interview with Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano below.‘Blood, Hair And Eyeballs’ is the first album Alkaline Trio have released since 2018’s ‘Is This Thing Cursed?’ – and finally arrives this Friday (January 26).“Trio took a bit of a backseat for a while,” admitted Skiba, who joined Blink-182 in 2015 and released two albums with the pop-punk icons (2016’s ‘California’ and 2019’s ‘Nine’) before leaving to make way for the returning Tom DeLonge in 2022. “It’s been the longest break Alkaline Trio has taken from putting out a new album, so I felt like we owed our fans the best record we could make,” he said.“If we’re going to album 10, let’s make it fucking awesome,” continued Andriano.

Alkaline Trio have shared a brand new single from their upcoming 10th album – listen to ‘Versions Of You’ below.The trio will release new album ‘Blood, Hair and Eyeballs’, their first since 2018’s ‘Is This Thing Cursed?’, on January 26. ‘Versions Of You’ follows recent singles ‘Bad Time’ and the album’s title track.Discussing the themes of the new song, bassist and vocalist Dan Andriano said: “It’s a song about sorting through the rubble of a broken friendship and realizing there’s just nothing there to try and rebuild… that maybe the whole thing was artificial and driven by self-serving motives.”He added: “From the start there was something really exciting about this one, a raw energy we didn’t want to let go.

Alkaline Trio are set to return with a new album, ‘Blood, Hair And Eyeballs’.The Matt Skiba-fronted band are set to return with the follow-up to ‘Is This Thing Cursed?’ on January 26 via Rise Records, marking their first release in six years.Speaking about the album and its attention-grabbing title track, Skiba said in a press release: “My mom worked for years as an emergency room nurse. She and her co-workers referred to exceptionally busy nights as ‘blood, hair, and eyeballs’.

It follows Alkaline Trio’s return to the UK this weekend for Slam Dunk Festival.“We are so excited to tour the UK again!” Alkaline Trio’s Dan Andriano said in a statement.
