Schmeichel spent eight years with United between 1991-99 and De Gea recently celebrated the ninth anniversary of his signing from Atletico Madrid.The Spaniard is contracted to United until 2023 and, despite competition from Dean Henderson amid a slew of errors, Solskjaer has stuck by De Gea.
