Royal fans devastated as King Charles sheds a tear for his beloved mother
King Charles III became visibly emotional as he shed a single tear during his late mother Queen Elizabeth II's committal service at Windsor Castle. The new monarch, 73, led the emotional proceedings throughout the day with his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, 75, by his side, providing much-needed support. Charles followed the coffin of the late sovereign into Windsor on Monday 19 September before then bidding his final farewell to his Mummy by placing The Queen's Company Camp Colour of the Grenadier Guards on her coffin. The choir and guests on the ground then sang the national anthem God Save the King, during which Charles appeared unable to hold back his emotions.
