Biffy Clyro have announced plans for a 15-date North American tour in the spring.The Scottish trio will hit the road in Chicago on April 17, taking in further dates in the likes of Washington, New York, Toronto, Las Vegas and San Francisco before wrapping up in LA on May 9. The X Factor star Ben Thapa has tragically passed away at the age of 42.Tributes have flooded in for the opera singer after news of his death was confirmed by his former band G4 on social media.Taking to Instagram on Monday, 9 September, G4 wrote: "It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother and great friend, Ben Thapa. Biffy Clyro have postponed their 2022 European headline tour due to ongoing COVID concerns – see all the details below.The Scottish trio were due to hit the road in Europe last October for a run of delayed concerts. In June, however, they announced that the gigs were being pushed back again to February/March this year.Taking to social media today (January 19), Biffy Clyro told fans that the concerts will now take place between August and October “due to ongoing concerns and restrictions around Coronavirus”.The show originally scheduled for Atlantico Rome on February 27 is “no longer possible”, according to the band.
