Pep Guardiola said Rodri will be fine to play against Real Madrid in the Champions League despite appearing to limp out of their Premier League win over Everton.
Rodri has played more than any other City player this season with Guardiola picking him almost every week to play the crucial holding midfield role.
He was selected again at Goodison Park as one of seven who kept their place in the team after a difficult match in Madrid. Towards the end of the game he seemed to hurt his knee, and while he carried on for a few minutes he was then substituted as Kalvin Phillips came on to take his place.
With the second leg of their Champions League semi-final up on Wednesday, City fans were left wondering whether there was any risk of the ever-present midfielder being a risk for their second showdown with Real.
