Pep Guardiola did not think Manchester City were anywhere near capable of being Premier League leaders less than two weeks ago.

Instead, a draw allowed City to close the gap by beating Aston Villa and then eradicate it as they leapfrogged the Gunners by winning at the Emirates.
It has been a remarkable turnaround at the top of the league, and Guardiola would not have been surprised if City were heading to Forest 12 points behind rather than level at the summit.
