People urged to check sheds in search for missing Irish woman who left Stornoway hotel

Police are urging members of the public in the Isle of Lewis to check sheds and outbuildings for a missing woman from Ireland.

Susan Forde has been missing for four weeks after travelling from the Republic of Ireland to Scotland in October.Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the 56-year-old's welfare after she checked out of the Caladh Inn Hotel in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis around 5.10pm on Sunday, October 16.

Susan then travelled in a taxi to the Borve Country House Hotel, around 15 miles north of Stornoway, where she was dropped off in the car park.

Susan did not enter the hotel and she has not been seen since arriving in the carpark. Anyone who may have seen her or who knows of her whereabouts is being urged to contact police.Susan is described as being of a slim build, with blonde, shoulder-length hair.
