People of State Pension age could get up to £4,635 extra a year from Attendance Allowance - here's how

Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is a benefit for people aged over 16 and under State Pension age who need help with daily living tasks or getting around as a result of a disability, long-term illness or mental health condition.

But what happens when someone who has been receiving PIP or Disability Living Allowance (DLA) reaches State Pension age? The State Pension age is changing this year and by October 2020, it will be 66 for both men and women.

This will be the age at which someone can claim their State Pension.If someone is already receiving PIP when they claim their State Pension, this will carry on and if someone is already getting DLA, they'll be invited to apply for PIP.
